The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) works with local churches to provide training, financial assistance, expertise, and networking with community partners to respond to disasters in the United States and around the world. UMCOR helps victims of disasters such as the recent flooding in the Midwest with financial grants which provide immediate aid to families and individuals where communities are unable to recover on their own. 100% of financial contributions given to UMCOR go directly toward those affected by disasters.
You can contribute by making a check payable to Marietta FUMC marked Disaster Response, United States and placing it in the offering plate or dropping it off by the church office. Your contribution will go to greatest need for victims of flooding and other disasters.
