Scott Anderson, chair of MFUMC’s Staff Parish Relations Committee, has announced the promotion of Kelly Duncan to Director of Children. She has been a fixture at Marietta First for 11 years, most recently as Associate Director of Children. She’s been closely involved in all aspect of the children’s program, including Sunday School and Worship, Vacation Bible School, FUSE Sports, Power 45 (a program for 4th and 5th graders) and events such as Tailgate Treats, our Easter Egg Hunt and others.
Kelly’s appointment comes at a busy time of year with MFUMC’s Vacation Bible running from June 13-16 and day camps planned throughout the summer. To learn more about VBS and Summer Camps, please click here.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity to serve the children, parents and others here at Marietta First United Methodist,” Duncan says. “I’m surrounded here with a love that exceeds my expectations every day. It’s caring people like these who spread the Gospel with just the smile on their faces.”
Duncan received a B.A. and M.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of South Florida. Her specialty in that field is speech pathology. She is married with two children.
