After a delightful evening spent dining with friends new and old at our second Spaghetti Supper, I’m reminded of what a wonderful community/family we have at Weekday. While no two families are alike, I think we can all agree on one thing – we love our children!
We all create extended families who help us through crises big and small. We have our posse’s who help us with carpooling, and the occasional date night. We have our prayer warriors who hold our hands, and our hearts, when we travel through the valley of shadows with disease and loss.
One of my favorite books from last Spring’s book fair is, Families, Families, Families by Suzanne Lang. It describes all the many family configurations that are represented in our community today. Jesus loves the little children, all the little children of the world. That means mine, yours, his, hers, theirs, OURS. They are precious in His sight.
Welcome to the family of Weekday. May you always feel at home.
