Seeds of Growth Women’s Retreat

Some give freely, yet grow all the richer; others withhold what is due, and only suffer want. A generous person will be enriched, and one who gives water will get water. Proverbs 11: 24-25

January 26-27, the women of First United Methodist Church of Marietta will take a moment to gather at Lanier Islands to ponder Seeds of Growth with speaker Meghan Klein Toups.

Lanier Islands Legacy Resort is easily accessible, yet offers the privacy and serenity one desires while on “retreat.” Whether you are staying in the lodge or in one of the lake houses, you will enjoy scenic lake vistas, and may even want to take a dip (in the heated pool, of course). Multiple walking trails, both beside the lake and in the wooded hills along the bank, beckon those who need to move. Fire pits and secluded porches offer resting spots for those who need to be still. No matter the spot you choose to “retreat,” we feel certain you will meet God in this blessed space.
