Serve Lunch at MUST Ministries Shelter
Throughout the year, we gather a group of people together and provide lunch at MUST Ministries located at 55 Elizabeth Church Road, Marietta, GA 30060. This is a great way to serve and share a meal with the hungry in our community.
Serve Supper at the Extension Addiction Recovery Center
The Extension is a rehabilitation program for homeless, addicted Cobb County residents. Throughout the year we serve supper for the residents and share the meal together. (Other volunteer opportunities include: helping find job opportunities, locating furniture, serving as receptionist answering phone.)
Help Students at Park Street Elementary with STEM Days
Volunteers will work with table groups of children who are using either the Scientific Method to conduct experiments or the Engineering Design Process to create useful products. You will coach them and then help them generalize learning from the activities through discussion. Kids love adult participation and it helps the teachers maximize the value of the time spent.
