First United Methodist Church of Marietta’s United Methodist Women will host UMW Presents: An Evening of Women’s Fellowship on Thursday, February 8, at 6 p.m. in the Family Life Hall. Proceeds from the event will benefit Wellspring Living. The evening will feature Mary Frances Bowley, Wellspring Living’s Executive Director, and the Georgia Tech Glee Club. There will also be door prizes and a table decor contest.
About Wellspring Living: Wellspring Living has been serving survivors of childhood sexual abuse and exploitation since 2001 and is devoted to safeguarding and empowering domestic sex trafficking victims and those at risk. Through residential and community-based programs, girls and young women are provided the opportunity to live and dream again.
About the Georgia Tech Glee Club: The Georgia Tech Glee Club formed as an all-male group in 1906, making it the oldest student organization on campus. Composed of graduate and undergraduate students, the members of the group represent all of the Institute’s colleges.
