Youth Missions

FAITH IN ACTION Saturday, November 20, 12-4 p.m.
Go to our Faith in Action page to get details about our upcoming November 2010 Faith in Action.

Christmas project at the enAble house.  We will help set-up and decorate a Christmas Tree at the enAble house in December.  We will keep you posted on the date.  Since 1979, enAble has enabled adults with developmental disabilities to live meaningful and active lives. We support the choices made by those we serve so they are empowered to lead the lives they desire.

Other Faith in Action Opportunities
Every Spring and Fall, the Youth volunteer their time for Lil Lambs. They help with set up and break down. Time spent helping can go towards points for trips.  We also help in Great Day of Service opportunities with the Church wide community.  Check out other opportunities listed below.

Other Youth Mission Opportunities:

30 HOUR Famine
The Youth partakes in the national 30 hour Famine to fight hunger around the world.  We will participate April 29-30, 2011.  Watch for more details to come.  To learn more about 30 Hour Famine, click here to view their website.

SOUPER BOWL OF CARING
Around the time of the Super Bowl, the Youth collects money at the end of each morning service. The money goes towards a cause the Youth decides on.

GREAT DAY OF SERVICE
The Youth join forces with members of the church for a day and help with mission and service projects around the church and the Marietta Community.

YOUTH AUCTION
In order for Senior High to go on their annual mission trip, the Youth hold an auction in which they will auction off their talents. The money that is raised will go toward funding mission trips.

ARIZONA MISSION TRIP
For the past four years our Senior Highs have traveled to visit the Tohono O’odham tribe in Sells, Arizona. The group stays at the Papago Baptist Church and does multiple mission projects throughout the Papago community. Projects include: visiting the nursing home & hospital, building houses, painting and doing crafts with the kids of the tribe. This is an extraordinary experience where the Youth can spread God’s love while growing closer to Him & each other.  We are looking at new mission trips and opportunities to serve and connect here and in the states.

MUST LUNCHES (FRIDAYS)
Every Friday during the summer, the Youth have the option to volunteer their time and go to MUST Ministries with other members from the church to prepare and serve lunch. Please contact Forrest Cate for more information.

MUST BACK TO SCHOOL BAGS
Every year before school starts the Youth put together school back packs and sends them to children around the Atlanta area who do not have the funds to buy school supplies. The Youth ask the members of the church to provide the supplies needed to fill the bags. The Youth then fill bags and send them off.
