Tai Chi For Christians
Tai Chi is a form of exercise, based on breathing and strengthening exercises, which brings balance and strength to those at all levels of fitness. The focus on achieving a meditative state during the workout allows for the heart and mind to become more open to the silent language of God.
Lead by Louie Jiles, a Marietta native who has studied Tai Chi and other martial arts for more 40 years, this tai chi practice is a forum for building both an active prayer life and an active physical life. Louie uses the Yang Style short form which allows for participants to come and go as scheduling allows. No prior experience is necessary, and no special equipment is required.
For maximum benefit, a twice weekly practice is recommended.
Cost: $15 for drop in classes, or $140 for 16 sessions over 8 weeks.
Classes are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. in room 254.
For more information, contact Louie Jiles or 678-427-0564 or Forrest Cate at ext. 7806.
