The Weekday Ministry Parent Action Committee (PAC) works with the Weekday Ministry Board and staff to facilitate activities such as raising funds, parent involvement, staff appreciation and operational assistance.

If you would like to volunteer in any of the opportunities listed below and be a part of the PAC please let us know. Even if you signed up for the PAC last year, we need you to sign up again for the new school year. We love our volunteers, and we realize that the more active our volunteers are the higher our standard of quality is in our program. We respect your time and welcome help with any amount of time you have to give. Please consider helping with one or several of these opportunities.

Staff Appreciation: Valerie Friedman, Committee Chair
This committee provides spiritual and social support for the staff through out the year by sending birthday cards and providing occasional treats or morale boosters. This group has planned and hosted event throughout the year such as a fall Soup Luncheon, a Christmas Brunch, the annual End of Year Luncheon in May and other events.

Parental Involvement: Jennifer Salter, Committee Chair
This committee helps with daily events at the school. People on this committee might be asked to be a substitute, extra hands in the classroom, party parents, and help with arrival and dismissal during the first week of school. This committee is sometimes called on with short notice.

Fundraising: Sara Braddy, Committee Chair
This committee provides leadership and assistance with fundraising events including the Back to School Fair. A member of this committee represents Weekday Ministry on Lil’ Lambs. Assistance is also provided for the Square 1 project and school pictures.

Registration: Kathryn Mayfield, Committee Chair
This committee hosts the January Parent Meeting/Open House. They lead tours, host the pre-registration tables during that time and provide workers for Registration Day. This committee is involved mostly from December to February.

Art from the Heart: Beth Strother, Committee Chair
This committee plans and executes our major fundraiser for the year, the Art from The Heart Art Auction. This event is a huge fundraiser for the Weekday Ministry program. This committee will meet to plan all aspects of this event.
