30 Hour Famine 201130 Hour Famine
April 29-30
Students around the world loving God and fighting hunger. It’s that simple. Every year, thousands of students unite to do the 30 Hour Famine. They learn about hunger - and then they do something about it. They raise funds. They experience hunger for themselves. Best of all? They help save lives.
WHEN: We will start our famine (fast) on Friday morning, April 29 after breakfast and continue until we "break-fast" on Saturday, April 30 with lunch at our Great Day of Service Project. We encourage participating youth to drink plenty of fluids during the day to stay hydrated. On Friday, April 29 at 6:00 p.m. we will meet at the church for a night of fun (to keep our minds off eating!). We will return to the church at 10:00 p.m. and then head to host homes to spend the night in gender specific, age appropriate groups. We will return to the church on Saturday morning at 8:30 a..m. to head our to our Great Day of Service Work projects. While the youth are in church related activities, we will provide drinks and if necessary, small snacks to get them through. Youth do not have to participate in the famine to help in our work/service projects. WHAT: The middle high and senior high groups will participate in service/work projects during Saturday, April 30. Completing the registration below let's us know you plan to go participate in the 30-Hour Famine.
