Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity
Habitat for Humanity is not, strictly speaking, a charity.  HFH is an economic and community development organization committed to achieving community transformation by providing decent and affordable homes to hard-working families.  By bringing together several dynamic community forces - businesses, churches, government, volunteers, families in need, community planners, chambers of commerce - Habitat creates a unique catalyst for lasting, multi-generational impact.

Marietta FUMC partners with Habitat for Humanity because it is a great way to develop relationships between church members who might not other wise connect with one another.  It also is a great way for our church to develop partnerships with other organizations in our community who are committed to making our community a better place to live, work, and worship.  This year MFUMC is joining the Cobb United Methodist Coalition to build relationships with our sister churches while we build a house.
