LMMT Helping Homeless Build Households

Our Local Mission Ministry Team's (LMMT) Abiding Angels provides year round support to families in Marietta whom, with small gestures of encouragement, are finding ways to improve their lives.  Simple Needs GA, a non-profit organization developed by MFUMC member Brenda Rhodes, works to help provide household basics to families recovering from homelessness.  Wellspring Treasures is an upscale resell boutique that helps generate financial support for Wellspring Living, a community building partner of LMMT, which helps victims of sexual abuse move toward hopeful futures.  Each of these organizations works to support a common mission of sharing the resources of our congregation and community with individuals recovering from broken pasts.  Through the coordination of LMMT, these groups are working together to bring about hope for a future of home.   You can donate household items and clothing and LMMT will make sure it is put to best use.  For more information about how to donate, contact Brenda Rhodes or Forrest Cate, ext 7806.
