Help Supply the Guatemala Mission Trip
Our MFUMC Guatemala mission team will work from June 3 - 8 with the children and school of LaSenda in Sumpango, Guatemala. There are some supplies that they have requested that will help with their projects. If you would like to help out with this trip, there are boxes around the church for you to donate any of the listed items. Requested supplies: vitamins (both adults and children), paperback English dictionaries, scientific calculators, flash drives, "goody bag" dollar store type items for children 10 - 16, school supplies, and camo clothes (size youth/med to adult/medium - for a school dress-up day).
Mark Your Calendar for the Senior Adult Day Trip
On Tuesday, June 5, our Senior Adults will visit the Passages Exhibit - "Experience the Bible like Never Before". This adventure is an interactive exhibit that shows the Bible from its beginning in a Jewish scribe room through the many translations. This is a chance to delve deeply into the rich history of the "most copied, most printed, most banned, most influential, most quoted book of all time. After our tour we will enjoy lunch together. Please join us on our first summer event!

How to Keep a Child in Marietta from Going Hungry this Summer
Local schools provide nutritious meals to thousands of school children who would otherwise not be able to afford lunch. During the summer, MUST ministries rallies local churches and organizations to help these children continue to eat a nutritious lunch. Join our Sack Lunch Makers Thursdays at 1:30 p.m. in the Reception Hall to help prepare the sack lunches. The group will begin meeting on Thursday, May 31and continue each week throughout the summer. A Star-Spangled Fundraiser for MUST
Marietta will have its annual Independence Day fireworks show on Wednesday, July 4th. Come and celebrate with family and friends in the beautiful park on the grounds of MFUMC. Reserved tables and lawn spaces with optimum fireworks views, BBQ plates, and glowing trinket sales will be offered to benefit MUST Ministries. Join us for games and children's activities or find a quiet spot under the magnolia leaves for an afternoon chat with friends. And if that wasn't enough, you have the BEST seat in town for Marietta's spectacular fireworks!

Graduation Sunday is May 20
Graduation Sunday is a special day in the life of our church. We will honor our 2012 High School Graduates in both Worship services. There is a luncheon for graduates and their families in the Reception Hall after the 11:15 a.m. service. Contact Josh Sweeney for more information.
Celebrate the Spirit of Dance
Celebrate with our dance girls as they showcase all the moves they've learned this year! Their recital is May 20th: preschoolers at 2:30 p.m. and elementary age at 4:30 p.m. Tickets are only $2.00 and will be available at the door. Registration for the 2012/2013 school year classes has begun!
Fusion Summer Fun 2012 Kick-Off
Join us for our Fusion Summer Fun Kick-off on Sunday, May 20 at 5:00 p.m. in the Park on Polk. This is for all youth and parents to check out the great events planned for this summer. There will be inflatables, a dunk tank, great food, and lots of fun and fellowship. There will be a parent table for sign-ups and information on all the summer events. Join Our Ecuador Mission Team
Our mission trip to Ecuador will involve christian discipleship among the Quichua Indians in Ambato. We also expect to take part in a variety of service projects, ranging from basic maintenance and painting to light construction or demolition. The trip is scheduled for Friday, June 29 - Sunday, July 8. You are invited to learn more about the trip even if you cannot travel to Ecuador! Help End Domestic Violence
The MFUMC Global Mission Ministry Team is partnering with local churches and the community of Chimbote, Peru in order to provide a battered women's shelter for residents there. The battered women's shelter will break the cycle of abuse that has caused fear and anxiety for generations.
As a part of this effort, you are invited to participate in a walkathon on Saturday, May 26, 2012. Teams from area churches will participate to raise funds for the purchase of a secure site in Chimbote that will provide protection for battered women and their children.

Lack of financial resources should never stop you from going on a mission trip. The Global Mission Ministry Team has scholarships available, the Beth Berman Memorial Fund provides financial resources to offset trip costs, and your friends and family can help too. Missions teams to Arizona, Ecuador and Peru are forming now. Don't miss your chance to serve!
