Mission Team Prayer Partners

Every MFUMC mission team member has a prayer partner to offer support, encouragement, and daily prayer for the trip and the mission.
As a prayer partner, you would:

pray for the mission team member each day,
write 3 cards of encouragement that the mission team member will be given on the trip
come forward with the mission team member and lay hands on them during the commissioning prayer

Mission trips usually are 1 week in duration. Your support and prayers are an important part of our mission trips!

First card
Prayer ideas: that God prepare them for this ministry, that you have been praying for them, safety throughout the trip, thankfulness for your partner’s participating in this ministry, that this will be a time of strengthening their relationship with God and others on the trip.

Card 2
Prayer ideas: that God be present as they get to know the people of the community, that each day they learn new ways of showing love to God and neighbor, for joyful hearts and cheerful attitudes, for the lives they will touch among, growing bonds of friendship with others on the trip, for faithfulness on the journey

Card 3
Prayer ideas: for the family members who miss them, traveling safety, that the ministry and the relationships they have begun on this trip continue on, for the lives they will touch and the stories they will tell among the people of Marietta
