| Summer Camps
It’s time to think summer! Camp registration for church members and currently enrolled Weekday families will begin on March 12 and for the community on March 19. Come to the lobby of the Welcome Center from 9:00 to 12:00 on 3/12 and 3/19 to register. On other days you may drop off your completed forms and full payment to the receptionist on the 2nd floor of the Welcome Center building or the Weekday office.

Volunteer Appreciation/Parent’s Night Out

Feed your kids, dress them in jammies, and then bring them to us for a night of fun! Bring your nursery to 5th grade children to us from 6:00 to 9:00 on Friday, April 18. Children’s volunteers from January, February, and March, your night out is on us; otherwise cost is $10 for the first child and $5 for siblings. 175th Anniversary Kick – Off!
What’ll ya have? Yankee Dog or Glorified Steak? Strings or rings? Join us at 12:15 on Sunday, May 4 for a Varsity lunch! Tickets are $7 in advance and include an entrée, side, and drink. Purchase tickets from the receptionist on the 2nd floor of the Welcome Center building by April 28.

SAFE
SANCTUARIES
Marietta First has developed a training program in accordance
with conference standards. This training is mandatory for all
staff and volunteers working with our Children and Youth Ministry.

SUNDAY SCHOOL
Age Clarification
Class assignment is determined by the child's age on September
1 of the current year. Children must be 3 on or before Sept. 1
to be in 3K. Children must be 4 on or before Sept. 1 to be in
4K, etc. At Marietta First United Methodist Church we use the
public school cut-off date for age level classes. All children
stay at their age level until Promotion Sunday in August. They
then move up as a group to the next level. Please follow the links

Children’s
Fuse Sunday Worship
Fuse Worship is offered at 9:00 and 11:15 a.m. for children
ages 3K-Kindergarten. Preschoolers may be brought upstairs to Room
316 prior to the worship service. Kindergartners sit with their
parents until the children’s sermon. At that time, parents
and children will listen to the message together, and then leave
the Sanctuary with the Fuse Worship leaders. If your child has
not been to Fuse Worship before, we recommend that you walk
with them the first time so they will feel more comfortable
and you will know where to pick them up. Call Georgia Rambo,

Worship.

Join us for B.I.G. happenings in Sunday School at 10:10 a.m.
All classes meet on the third floor of the Sanctuary building.

 DANCE
The Spirit of Dance…

with an emphasis on Christian principals. We will address
the needs of each individual student, and hopefully give them
some knowledge and appreciation for the Art of Dance. We began
in September and end in

SCOUTS
Cub Scouts:
Cub Scout Pack 277 is a part of The Children’s
Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Marietta. We
are dedicated to helping boys grow into confident, godly young
men. Our Cub Scouts are boys in the first grade through fifth
grade. The boys are separated by grade level. Cub
Scouting emphasizes involvement between boys and their parents,
adult leaders and friends. The three main goals of Cub Scouting
are: Personal Fitness. Character Development, and Good Citizenship.
We learn a bit and have a lot of fun!
Scouts this Summer
Calling all boys entering 1st-4th grade in the Fall of 2007!
Do you like to go fishing and do other fun activities? Then
come join Cub Scout Pack 277! This summer we will be having
a fishing derby and attending the Marietta Soap Box Derby
among other events. Come join us to see what we are all about.
You can also attend the Cub Scout Day Camp too. For details,

Meeting Information:
Our Cub Scout Pack 277 holds den (grade level groups) meetings
on Tuesdays from 7:00-8:15 p.m. in the FUSE Box (main building,
top floor, SE corner). These den meetings can include in-house
activities and field trips. On
the last Tuesday of the month, everyone meets together for
a big Pack meeting for a special program and awards ceremony.
Special Events: The
Cub Scout Pack has several special events during the year.
These special events include:
• Rain Gutter Regatta
• Pinewood Derby
• Space Derby
• Camping
• Blue and Gold Banquet

Weekday Ministry is an outreach ministry of First
United Methodist Church. Our goal is to provide a Christian
