College Age and Home for Summer?
You are invited to join the College and Career Class Sunday mornings at 10:10 a.m. at the Krystal Restaurant directly across from the church at the corner of Whitlock Avenue and Powder Springs Road. The group’s current discussion centers around Jesus’ vision of the Kingdom of Heaven as a state where greatness is defined by sacrifice and service. How do we work that out in our lives? BARACA/WESLEY PHILATHEA

COUPLES CLASS: Discovery
Room 325 (DC)

This new class is for couples in their 40’s who desire to explore how their faith impacts the world around them. We will study together and talk about the intersection between the real world and our real faith. Contact: Kate Houston, 770-429-7800, or katehouston@mariettafumc.org.

COVENANT
Room 328 (FLC)

This class is comprised of "mature" couples and singles of varying ages. They gather for coffee, snacks and fellowship. Bible Study formats are selected based on subjects of group interest. EXPERIENCING JOY
Room 320 (FLC)

This class is for couples or singles ranging from their 20’s to 50’s. This class has a wonderful mix of people, bringing with them different viewpoints and experiences that further grow the body of Christ. Their studies are biblically based and include wonderful discussions applying the lessons to everyday topics and real life issues. FAITH BUILDERS

FELLOWSHIP
Room 324 (FLC)

This mature, established class is comprised of singles and couples. They enjoy singing hymns, prayer time, and lessons with discussion. The class supports MUST Ministries and the Singles Santa project. Seasonal socials are planned during the year. Contact: Lee Sewell, 770-425-8922.

FRIENDS IN FAITH
Room 321 (FLC)

This class welcomes couples and singles of all ages for Bible study and topical studies. Regardless of your level of Biblical knowledge, you are certain to find our discussions lively, interesting and Christ-centered. IN GOOD FAITH
Room 253 (DC)

This energetic class of married and single adults n their 20’s and 30’s uses a discussion-based format to explore a variety of topics. Studies range from books of the Bible to guest speakers and the “Reality Check” series. Each class begins with food and time for fellowship. INQUIRERS
Room 327 (FLC)

This class is comprised of mostly 40’s and 50’s. The discussion is led by teachers within the class and guest speakers. The topics are Bible-related with a prevailing theme of pragmatic Christianity in the 21st century. The class enjoys at least one social and one seminar each year. JACK AARON
Room 256 (DC)

This is a large class comprised of both singles and couples, age 50 and up. The class follows the International Bible Studies, led by different class members each month. The class is very active in service projects, such as MUST, several children’s home projects, and many other local and global ministries. This class enjoys several socials throughout the year. JOHN STROTHER
Room 261 (DC)

This large class is comprised of couples and singles ages 40 and up. The class studies a Bible-based curriculum with a variety of teachers. They support the Christmas Santa Project, MUST, and the UMM Golf Tournament. They also raise support for an orphanage in Guatemala and support missionaries in Kenya, Singapore, and Tanzania. J.O.Y.
Room 259 (DC)

This class utilizes the Cokesbury literature for their discussion-based studies. They are a medium-size class of adults, age 50 and up. The class enjoys many social events. Their outreach projects include missionary support in India and Ghana, the Wesley Foundation, Campus Crusade and several once-a-year projects. KINDRED SPIRITS
Room 254 (FLC)

This is a “new”, active, young adult class for couples and singles that are in their 20’s and 30’s. The class enjoys studying a Bible-based curriculum, and have lively discussions that apply the lessons to everyday life issues. In the last few months, they have studied “Why Christians Suffer”, “The Passion of Christ”, and “Revelations.” Frequent social activities are planned to help class members get acquainted and form friendships. LIGHTSEEKERS
Room 116, Reception Hall

This active class of married and single young adults participates in group discussion Bible studies, led by two wonderful teachers. In the past they have enjoyed topics such as Revelations, The Will of God, and important people in the life of Jesus. They are involved in various service projects and enjoy regular socials. LINDELL DeJARNETT
Room 255 (DC)

This class is comprised of married and single adults in their 30’s through early 50’s. They study topics from Old and New Testament books, to topics concerning marriage and family life. Teachers rotate, however, Stacy Hylton is the primary teacher. Service projects include regular support for MUST, Murphy Harpst Children’s Home, and the landscaping at the Rock House. OPEN DOOR
Room 252 (DC)

This large class is comprised of couples and singles ranging from mid-adult to retirees who enjoy periodic small group and class socials and a special annual retreat. The class actively supports local, global, and regional missions. They have provided poinsettias in our church for many years with the proceeds going to mission endeavors. PATHFINDERS (formally known as Young Professionals)

We are a new class for young professionals in their 20’s and 30’s that explores our faith, grows together, and enjoys a community of loving people. Our lessons includes studying world religions and our Christian witness among many voices. We will also gather outside the Sunday morning hour for fellowship and fun. Join us! PHILEO

This friendly, energetic group is comprised of couples age 30 and older with mostly school-aged children. This self-taught class enjoys studying a wide variety of subjects, from C. S. Lewis to the Book of James. They are active in MUST Ministries, the local Hispanic Ministry, Lil’ Lambs, Global Missions, and needy families at Christmas. PROGRESSIVE

This large class is a group of loving, close friends, age 60 and up. They enjoy five wonderful teachers that utilize Methodist study materials. Active class participation is encouraged. The class supports Four Corners Native American Ministry, Kennestone First Step program, Salvation Army, Mountain Top Boys Home, and Boys Club of Cobb County. SISTERS IN CHRIST
Room 201B (FLC)

Sisters in Christ is for women of all ages and marital statuses who desire to attend a Sunday School class just for women. Sisters’ curriculum is discussion based with everyone encouraged to participate. The contemporary studies tie stories from Old and New Testament scriptures to how we make choices to live our lives today. Sisters also focus on fellowship and intercessory prayer. SECOND CHAPTER

This group studies 6-8 week lesson series on a variety of topics, and fosters and environment of acceptance, fellowship, and support in a community of faith.
