Adult Choir
Want to sing along? Want to witness?
All Wednesday night rehearsals are open to visitors; childcare is always provided.
(9:00 & 11:15)
The Adult Choir is a mixed, non-auditioned chorus that leads the congregation in the two morning worship services. Members may choose to sing at either (or both) services depending on their personal schedules. Selections are chosen that reflect the seasons and topics of the liturgical year drawing from a large variety of musical streams including gospel, traditional folk, spirituals, shape-note, Renaissance and classical. Major presentations include the annual “Service of Nine Lessons and Carols” and Sacred Spring Concerts which have featured John Leavitt’s “Requiem,” W.A. Mozart’s “Coronation Mass,” Mendelssohn's "Hymn of Praise" from Symphony No. 2 and John Rutter's "Requiem." The Adult Choir and Orchestra will present Gabriel Fauré's "Requiem" this spring on Sunday, May 2 at 3:00 p.m. Join us!
