The Center for Family Resources, in partnership with Cobb County Department of Family and Children Services, has been providing Thanksgiving boxes to families in need in Cobb County for 26 years. As families prepare for a holiday with loved ones surrounding a Thanksgiving feast, many of our Cobb neighbors find it difficult to afford a Thanksgiving meal for their families. CFR is working to preserve family traditions and treasured time together by providing each family with everything needed to enjoy a meal at home together.

$15 gift certificate from a local grocer for a turkey*
Dressing mix / Gravy
Cranberry sauce
Canned or instant potatoes (sweet or white)
Canned green vegetables
Canned yellow vegetables
Non-refrigerated pie shell and pumpkin pie mix
Dried or canned milk
Roasting Pan
* Gift cards can be easily lost. Please help us by packaging them separately from your food donation.
** Items in glass containers cannot be accepted.
*** Refrigeration is not available, therefore perishable items (i.e. turkeys, milk, etc.) cannot be accepted.
We also need the following to help through the rest of the holiday while kids are home from school:
Dried beans
Peanut butter
Canned meat, tuna, or ham
Rice, pasta, or cereal
Soup
Bread or rolls
Canned fruit
