United Methodist Women
If you are a woman and a member of this church, you are also a member of the United Methodist Women. We invite you to join one of our circles, listed below, where you can grow close in fellowship and serve with a small group of friends.
In addition to our monthly circle meetings, each month all of UMW gathers for a short meeting, featured speaker and lunch or dinner. The cost is $7.00 for lunch and reservations are required. (For a reservation, contact Beverly McCrary, ext 7835.) Click here for information about our UMW Cafe!

In February our Ruby Cooper Circle celebrated Valentine’s Day with a lovely spread of goodies at one of their members’ homes.
![]() ![]() This note came to us from Amanda’s Mom, Snookie Brown: Dear Pat and UMW Ladies, Thanks so much for reaching out to Amanda, Leslie and Cappy, to Blue Skies, and ultimately to the families served by this wonderful organization! Your love for Christ showed through all you did! You gave financial support, cut out pillowcase fabric, made notes for precious children and for some, the work goes on as you sew that fabric into pillowcases. I am so proud to be a part of this group through my wonderful Circle. I know that you will be hearing from the folks at Blue Skies but wanted you to receive my thanks as well! In His love, Snookie I would also like to thank all of you who took the time Saturday to participate in the District Mission Study, led by our own Sara Worden. Marietta First had the largest group of women attend and we all came away enriched by the lessons in the program. We hope you will consider joining us next time.
![]() I am inspired by all the work you do as United Methodist Women and humbled to be a part of this magnificent organization.
Fondly, Pat Snider
Thanks to all of you who supported the Red Bird Mission Craft Show and Cafe. UMW was very pleased with the results of their First Craft Fair for Red Bird Mission. Total proceeds from craft sales were $7,753.35. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to have lunch with us, and to those who purchased crafts that were made by people living in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky. All proceeds will be used to minister to the poor for food, housing, medical assistance, job assistance and educational needs. We are thankful for having Craig Dial with us who is our United Methodist Missionary from RED BIRD MISSION. Did you Know?
