Stewardship 2020: With Grateful Hearts!
Marietta FUMC Family,
There are many reasons we say, “I am grateful!” We are grateful because of our families, friends, church, and faith. Over this past year, I am grateful because I have experienced the beautiful spirit of MFUMC. At every turn, we are engaged in missions, whether it is the weekly Good Samaritan ministry, the summer lunch program, or one of the many mission trips to Georgia, Peru, or Costa Rica. We are a church that cares about people and for that I am grateful. I also have witnessed the growth of our church through those who have joined and decided to call Marietta First UMC family. We are a family-oriented church where parents of young children and youth take seriously their call to raise “them in the faith.” We are a community of faith who desires to know Christ in deeper ways and many have engaged in Sunday school and Bible studies. For this I am grateful!
This past year has been one of the most joyous in my ministry because of each of you. Thank you for embodying Christ and the call to love our neighbor as ourselves. As we look to 2020, I am excited about where God is leading us and if it is anything like 2019, get ready because we are in for a great blessing. As we enter this season of Stewardship, count the ways you are grateful and know, I am grateful for You!
With Deepest Gratitude,
Rev. Dr. Julie Boone
