MFUMC hosts a number of groups that assist individuals in finding the support and community necessary to live a healthy and whole life. All groups meet at the church. Contact information for specific questions is included with each group description.

ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS

Alcoholics Anonymous® is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. To find an AA meeting near you, please visit the following website;  aageorgia.org/meetings. AL-ANON
Al-Anon is a self-help recovery program for families and friends of alcoholics, protected by a policy of anonymity.
Contact: Ron Brewer at 678-830-3622 or rbrewer11@aol.com . As of February 2021, meeting weekly on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm in building A/Welcome Center. Look for “support group” sign at entrance.

ALS SUPPORT GROUP (Not currently meeting.)
The ALS Association of Georgia, Inc. offers a monthly support group to provide an opportunity for patients, family members, caregivers and friends to come together to share stories and get information. Speakers are scheduled to increase knowledge of community services and effective strategies for living with ALS.

NA is a 12-step recovery program for men and women who struggle with drug addiction of any kind. It is a group of recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.
