Endowment
Sustaining our church for the future is no small task. Our vision is an Endowment Foundation that will provide for the ongoing maintenance, repair, and improvement of our campus and facilities so that we can be a fixture in the community for years to come. 

When a gift is endowed, the principal of the gift is invested - never used itself. A percentage of the gift's earnings support capitol improvements for our 60+ year old campus and facilities. Because the principal remains untouched, the endowment is permanent and self-sustaining, providing funds for campus improvements in perpetuity. A portion is gifted from the Foundation to the church once a year, and the remaining amount continues to build the fund.  All gifts are managed by Endowment Foundation board members.

Contributions can be made to FUMC by cash or check. If mailing a check, please make payable to Marietta First United Methodist Church Endowment Foundation.

The Evergreen Legacy Society

It is our privilege to create opportunities for those who will come after us.  Through The Evergreen Legacy Society, your planned gifts will help plant seeds of faith for future generations to enjoy.

Planned gifts may include:

  • Bequest: a provision in a will for a stated amount or for a percentage

  • Property: leaving land or a residence

  • Insurance Policy: naming Marietta FUMC Endowment Foundation, Inc. as a beneficiary, or gifting a policy to the church

  • Securities: Non-cash charitable gifts including shares and bonds

  • Charitable Remainder Trust: Annual income for the donor, with the remainder specified for charity
