Join the Women’s Ministry Team for an overnight retreat at The Hotel At Auburn, Auburn Alabama on Friday, March 13 through Saturday, March 14, 2026. This retreat is for women of all ages and in all stages of life!
There are two ways to attend the retreat: Overnight (Friday and Saturday) or one day experience (Saturday only). The weekend cost is $150.00, and includes a meet & greet reception on Friday, and a program and lunch on Saturday. Saturday-only is $100.00, and includes program and Saturday lunch. (Itinerary details will be provided at a later date.) Room reservations are made on your own at The Hotel at Auburn and are in addition to the retreat fee. We have a block of rooms reserved for our retreat at a reduced price with the hotel. To receive the reduced room rate, reservations need to be final by February 11, 2026. Please know a good cost saving measure is to share a room with another MFUMC member or friend!
The registration confirmation reply email will contain the link to reserve rooms at the reduced rate.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Elizabeth "Ebby" Arnold
Dr. Elizabeth "Ebby" Arnold will be our main speaker at the Women's Ministry Retreat this year. We were fortunate to have her teach a Bible Study last year when she led, "We Have Seen the Lord." She is the Scholar in Residence for The Candler Foundry and holds a PhD in New Testament from Emory University. Through both The Candler Foundry and Candler’s MDiv program, Ebby teaches courses on a variety of subjects, including the Gospels, Romans, 1-2 Corinthians, and Luke-Acts. Ebby is currently creating Candler Foundry's Foundations in Faith and Leadership, an on-line certificate program for community- and church-based theological education. Her research areas include the literary interpretation of scripture, humor and emotion in the Bible, and the intersection of the church and the academy. We are so excited that she is joining us for the retreat!
