Upcoming Lent Services & Events
Join us each day at 11:30 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church Marietta for a brief devotional led by a local Marietta pastor, followed by a soup and sandwich lunch.
Our very own, Rev. Dr. Harden Hopper will be delivering a Maundy Thursday devotional on Thursday, April 2. This beloved tradition brings our community together in worship and fellowship during this Holy season.
Palm Sunday: Sunday, March 29
Join us as we celebrate Palm Sunday and begin Holy Week together. We’ll gather in the Sanctuary on Sunday, March 29, for worship at 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.
Children are invited to meet in the Narthex at the beginning of both services to participate in the palm processional. After we process in together, we will sit as a group in the front pews.
Good Friday: Friday, April 3
Join us for a special Good Friday worship service on Friday, April 3, at 6:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary. This service weaves together the meaning of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday into one powerful evening. We will remember Jesus at the table with his disciples in the intimacy of the Last Supper and then journey with him through betrayal, suffering, and the Passion that leads to the cross.
Easter Flowering Cross: Sunday, April 5
Have your Easter photo taken at the Flowering Cross all morning in the Fountain Courtyard. Remember to bring your flowers to help decorate the cross!
Easter Sunrise Service & Breakfast: Sunday, April 5
Join us for a special Easter Sunrise service on Sunday, April 5, at 6:30 a.m. in the Park on Polk Street.
We will also be serving breakfast from 7:30 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. in the Family Life Hall. Breakfast will begin, following the Sunrise Service and last until the start of our 11:15 a.m. worship service. We can’t wait to see you there!
Easter Sunday Services: Sunday, April 5
Join us for one of three Easter Sunday services: Sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. in the Park on Polk, 9:00 a.m., and 11:15 a.m. services in the Sanctuary. Nursery will only be available at the 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m. services.
Easter Breakfast: 7:15 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the Family Life Hall
Monday, April 6, our church offices will be closed in observance of Easter Monday.

Easter in The Park: Sunday, March 29
All are invited to join us from 12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. for our Easter in the Park celebration! We will have lunch in the Family Life Hall, then move to the park for a fun afternoon of egg hunts, games, crafts, and more.

This is a free event, and because this is our Year of Invitation, we encourage everyone to invite friends, family, and neighbors to join us for this special day as we celebrate Jesus together!
VOLUNTEER SIGN UP | VOLUNTEER NEEDS
We’re looking for volunteers to assist with set-up, clean-up, and monitoring the egg hunts. We are also accepting donations of candy and/or eggs.
Holy Week Mid-Day Services: March 30 – April 3
Festival Choir: Holy Week & Easter
Do you enjoy singing but can’t commit to weekly choir rehearsals and worship? Join us for a special Holy Week and Easter Choir opportunity! This is a wonderful way to participate in the music ministry during one of the most meaningful seasons of the church year. Rehearsals will take place on Wednesdays from 7:00 p.m. – 8:45 p.m., along with two Saturday rehearsals on March 22 and April 4, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Choir members are encouraged to attend as many rehearsals as possible, including the Easter dress rehearsal, as we prepare to lead worship during Holy Week and Easter.
Easter Hospitality: Sunday, April 5
Be a part of our Easter Hospitality team! You can offer extravagant hospitality on Sunday, April 5, from 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. by being a greeter, prepping and serving Easter breakfast, driving a golf cart or taking photos at the flowering cross.
