You are invited to volunteer on Saturday, March 28, when over 10,000 pounds of fresh produce will be delivered to the church by the Atlanta Community Food Bank to be distributed to community members via a drive-thru mobile pantry plan. The purpose of this program is to quickly distribute large volumes of food primarily produce, directly to underserved communities. Each mobile pantry serves approximately 250 families.
Volunteers are needed to bag the produce items into more family sized portions and distribute to neighbors on the same day. Set up starts at 1:30 pm placing tables and directional signs around campus. Food will be delivered from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., food sorting for 2+ hours, until the Mobile Pantry opens for distribution at 4:30 p.m. until food is gone.
