2025 Vacation Bible School
Save the date for Marietta FUMC's 2025 Vacation Bible School! We will be hosting our "Road Trip" VBS from July 7-10 for rising 4K through rising 6th graders. As we prepare for VBS, we'd love helping hands to create decor for our hallways, gathering areas, and classrooms. VBS Cookout
All VBS attendees and their families are invited to join us on Sunday, July 13th, from 12:30-1:20pm in the Park on Polk for our VBS Family Cookout. During this event, we will serve hamburgers and hotdogs, watch our end-of-week VBS recap video, play games, and celebrate the end of a fun week together! REGISTER HERE

Moving On Up
Rising 4K kids (4 years old by September 1) and their parent(s) are invited to join us in the Fuse Box during the 9am and 11:15am services to get a sneak peek at what they can expect as they make their transition upstairs in the new school year.
This is a great chance to expose your kiddo to the format of children's worship, while having you there with them, before they are thrown into the festivities of our big Promotion Sunday on August 3rd.
No sign up is required, but attendance is highly encouraged.

Power 45 Fall Kick Off
4th and 5th graders are invited to join us for our first Power 45 meeting of the year on August 24th from 1-2:30pm!
We will meet in the Park on Polk where we will play some get-to-know-you games (as well as other fun games), eat lunch, hang out, and talk about fun ideas for future meet-ups.
This is always a really fun way to meet everyone that will be in your Sunday School and Power 45 groups for the year, so we hope your kiddo will be able to join us! REGISTER HERE
Power 45 Bowling Party
Join us for our Power 45 End of Year Party -- an afternoon at Bowlero!
We will meet at Bowlero from 1:30-3:00pm on Sunday, May 4. The cost per child is $35, which includes 1.5 hours of bowling (including shoes), choice of unlimited pizza, chicken tenders, drinks, and limited arcade credits for each child!
If your kid plans to bring a friend, make sure to register them as well. Please be sure to register HERE by Monday, April 21, so that we can give Bowlero a final head count.
May Parent's Night Out
Join us for Parent’s Night Out on Friday, May 2 from 6 - 8:30pm.
Children ages 2 years old through 2nd Grade are welcome to join our Nursery Staff for a night of fun, games, crafts, play, and lots of fun!
All children are encouraged to bring a sack dinner and a water bottle filled with water. A fun themed dessert will be provided. REGISTER HERE
Easter in the Park
Join us for Easter in the Park on Polk on April 13th from 1-3pm! This event is for the whole family, taking place in our beautiful park, and will include an egg hunt, yard games, food, and more. We hope you'll be able to join us! Register for lunch HERE.
Resurrection Garden Workshop
Families of all ages are invited to join us for a Resurrection Garden Workshop on March 30th during the Sunday School hour (10:10-11:10am) in the Reception Hall.
Together, we’ll create a Resurrection Garden that your family can watch grow as we wait and anticipate Easter Sunday.
We’ll gather in the Reception Hall to make these beautiful gardens, and enjoy some refreshments together as a church family!

Parents Night Out

Power 45: Youth Takeover
Join us on Sunday, March 23, from 1-3pm for the Youth takeover of Power 45!
We will be meeting in the Lower Room at 1pm, where we’ll have a quick lunch (Zaxby’s and ice cream bar) and then head to the square for a scavenger hunt. We will be meeting back in the Lower Room for pick-up. REGISTER HERE
Boots & BBQ
We invite our parent community, Weekday alumni parents, and church members to enjoy an evening of music, fellowship, and silent auction items. Boots & BBQ will be held on Thursday, March 13th at Glover Park Brewery. The evening will include a local Bluegrass band and delicious southern fare.
This is the school’s main fundraising event and secures funds necessary to provide the best program for students, families, and teachers. The funds raised allow Weekday to improve the building, such as additional shade for the playground and covering our carpool area. It allows us to keep up with current curriculum trends all with a goal of enhancing the program to meet the community’s needs. As a ministry, Weekday strives to meet the needs of all its students both academically and financially. The funds to meet these goals come primarily from fundraising efforts.
FUMC Weekday Ministry has been an essential part of the historic Marietta landscape for over six decades and has provided an educational foundation for countless children in our community. With your help, we would like to foster the growth of our school and continue to be a place the community can call their preschool home.

MFUMC Children’s Ministry invites church families to join us for our second annual Sock Hop Dance!
We’ll ~get down~ to some oldies, newbies, and favorites, all while doing some good for our local community by putting the ‘Sock’ in Sock Hop!
As a new year begins and spring nears, many outreach programs are running low on supplies. To help them restock, we ask that all attendees bring a pair of socks, which will be delivered by our team to MUST Ministries.
From poodle skirts to hot pants, we can’t wait to see you all dressed to the nines!

Wonderfully Made
You and your son or daughter are invited to participate in a special event called Wonderfully Made! Open to children in the 5th and 6th grades, Wonderfully Made is a United Methodist resource that offers preteens and their parents an opportunity to begin the important conversations about bodies, human growth, sexuality, reproduction and relationships from a Christian perspective. It will offer both you and your child an opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate the fact that we have each been wonderfully made by God.
Power 45 Winter Kick-Off
Join us on Sunday, January 26, from 1:00 p.m. - 2:30p.m. for our first meeting of 2025! We will be meeting in the Welcome Center at 1:00 p.m., then head to Marietta Square Market for lunch and fellowship. Christmas In The Park
Join us for Christmas in the Park on Polk on Saturday, December 7, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.!
We love kicking off the season of Advent together and preparing our hearts for the coming of our Savior. This year, we'll have cookie decorating, a Chrismon craft station (NEW), a Story Walk offering (NEW), a petting zoo, Family Christmas pictures, and more!

Family Advent Wreath Workshop
Families of all ages are invited to join us for an Advent Wreath Workshop on December 1st during the Sunday School hour (10:10-11:10am)!
Together, we’ll create a wreath to celebrate the Advent season (complete with a take-home liturgy) and a banner to hang on your mantle or your tree that we’ll decorate with this year’s Advent theme: Be Near Me, Lord Jesus.

Power 45 Christmas: Progressive Dinner
Join us on Sunday, December 15th, from 5-7pm for a progressive dinner to celebrate the Christmas season! We will be meeting in the Welcome Center at 4:45pm to load up on the buses, and we’ll depart from campus at 5pm to head to our first stop. Take a look at our schedule below:
- Stop 1: Appetizers at the Davis House (~30 minutes)
- Stop 2: Main Course at the Angel House (~45 minutes)
- Stop 3: Dessert and Hot Cocoa at the Engram House (~30 minutes)
Each stop will feature some food and a fun activity to do while we enjoy the festive food. Come in your Christmas best and bring a friend (just make sure to sign them up :))!
Power 45 October Meeting
Join us for our October Power 45 meeting! We will meet at the church in the Lower Room (directly below the Weekday Preschool entrance in building C) from 1-2:30pm on Sunday, October 27th. We will provide a taco bar for lunch and the kids will have time to hang out, play games, and complete a service project together for MUST Ministries. REGISTER HERE
Fall Festival Trunk or Treat Sign Up
Marietta FUMC Children's Ministry invites you to join us for our Fall Festival on October 26 from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. This event will include trunk-or-treating, hay rides, field games, treats and food for the family. Fall Fuse Soccer
Grow in community and inspire the love of the game to your child. Sportsmanship, teamwork, and getting to know others are all included through learning about and participating in soccer.
The season begins October 13 and will meet weekly for 6 weeks, with the last week being November 17. Registration coming soon!

Team shirts will be provided, please bring your own soccer ball, shin guards, socks and cleats or tennis shoes are fine. Remember to bring a water bottle to each game, there is a lot of running in soccer and the players will get thirsty!
Teams are lead by parent coaches and we always need coaches - it’s easy and fun, and you get a $10 discount! Enter the word COACH at check out.

Acolyte Training
All Third Graders are invited to join our Acolyte Team! Join us for new acolyte training on Sunday, September 15 at 10:10 a.m. in the Sanctuary. We will train how to light candles, walk into worship, sit through worship and responsibilities of being an acolyte.
Third Grade Bible Presentations & Family Brunch
It is a joy and privilege to give a Bible to our 3rd grade students each year, to help equip them to grow in their own faith and relationship with God through the reading and studying of the holy scriptures.
This year’s Bible presentations will take place during the 11:15am service on Sunday, September 8th. Following the service, Children’s Ministry will host a brunch for our 3rd graders and their families.
After this special day, the 3rd Grade Sunday School class will begin their year-long exploration of their Bibles. We hope if they aren’t already, your child will join us during the Sunday School hour for the remainder of the year.
We look forward to celebrating this special event with you and your family!
Parent's Night Out
Join us for Parent’s Night Out on Friday, August 23 from 6 - 8:30pm.
Children ages 18 months (walking) through 8 years old are welcome to join our Nursery Staff for a night of fun, games, crafts, play, and lots of spring-time fun!
You are welcome to send dinner with your child or have them eat beforehand. We will provide snacks throughout the night.
Cost per child is $35. If you have more than one child attending, each additional child is $25. This increase helps offset the cost of purchasing special themed activities and treats for this month!

Power 45 Fall Kickoff
Join us as we kick-off Power45 for the 2024-2025 year!
We will meet at the church in the Fuse Box from 1-2:30pm on Sunday, August 11. We will provide lunch from Marietta Pizza Company and the kids will have time to hang out, meet each other, and play games together.

Promotion Sunday
During the Sunday School hour, we will host our Promotion Sunday Celebration in the Fuse Box. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children to send them off to their new classes and mingle with parents over some refreshments for the remainder of the hour. We will preview our curriculum, introduce our teachers, and enjoy fun, games, treats, and more!
Blessing of the Backpacks
On August 4, bring your backpacks to either service where we will hand out backpack tags with our verse for this year. Rev. Dr. Julie will offer a blessing for our students, teachers, and all those headed into a new school year!
Pew Readiness
When our students transition to 4th grade, they no longer attend Fuse Worship and, instead, get to stay in worship with their families. To prepare them for this transition, Rising 4th - 5th graders and their parents are invited to a session to during the Sunday School hour on July 21st to learn all about what to expect in worship and how kids can get the most out of service.
This will take the place of 4th - 5th grade Sunday School. This session will only be offered on July 21st, so we hope you are able to join us!
Moving On Up
Rising 4K children (kids who will turn 4/join a 4K class on or before Sept. 1, 2024) and their parents are invited to come preview Fuse Worship at either service on July 21st for the upcoming year as they prepare to move from Nursery to Fuse Worship!
Children will fully transition to Fuse Worship on Promotion Sunday, August 4.
Clean Up Days
As we head into VBS week, we will need a team of individuals to help clean up certain areas of the church before Sunday and the following week. Help us take down decor, move items back to storage, and more. This will be split up into two separate days - Thursday, July 11, and Sunday, July 14.
